Privacy Policy

Mass Map is a free tool for finding Catholic Mass, Confession, and Adoration times nearby. It's built and maintained by Virtus Ventures. This page covers what happens with your information when you use Mass Map specifically — not when you visit a parish's own website (each parish's site has its own privacy policy).

Location

If you allow it, your browser shares your location so Mass Map can sort parishes by distance and show roughly where you are on the map. This happens entirely in your browser — your location is never sent to or stored on our servers, and we have no record of it. If you decline or your browser doesn't support it, Mass Map still works, just sorted alphabetically instead of by distance.

Accounts and personal information

Mass Map doesn't have accounts, logins, or sign-ups for people looking up Mass times. We don't collect your name, email, or any other personal information just from using the map or the schedule listings.

Cookies and tracking

We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't use cookies to follow you across other websites. Basic, anonymous traffic analytics (e.g. how many people used Mass Map today) may be collected, but not tied to you individually.

Who we work with

• MapTiler — provides the map tiles you see
• Vercel — hosts massmap.app
• Supabase — stores the parish and Mass-time data Mass Map displays

None of these providers use Mass Map visitor data for their own purposes.

Mass time accuracy

Mass Map displays schedule information provided by each parish. We do our best to keep it current, but schedules change — always confirm directly with the parish for anything time-sensitive (holidays, weather closures, etc.).

Children's privacy

Mass Map doesn't knowingly collect information from children, since it doesn't collect personal information from any visitor in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
